The British Comedy Podcasters Association recently launched, shows that there are more talented comedians than ever before experimenting with the format and aiming for the prestigious title of Best Comedy Podcast UK. Russell Brand is the inaugural president of BCPA and he hopes that comics will use their podcasts to communicate in a more intimate way with audiences. Buzzfeed signaled this trend last month with its announcement of a podcast network.
